Spa Pool Care Suggestions
For the whole spa: Make use of a mild non-abrasive, non-sudsing cleanser along with a soft rag or nylon scrubber to get rid of grime buildup
For minor surface cleaning: Use common baking soda to clean little surface areas
To get a look that is shiny: Implement FreshWater Spa Glow to your own dry and clean spa shell
For spa pool pillows: Follow the instructions in your Owner's Manual to eliminate and clean your spa pool pillows.
For vinyl cover: Then, using a mild soap solution (1 teaspoon dishwashing liquid with 8 litres water) or baking soda, scrub the vinyl in a circular motion with a sizable sponge and rinse with a garden hose. Without using soap, rinse the bottom of the cover, and wipe it clean with a dry rag.
Helpful Hint: To keep soap and detergent residue from your spa pool water, before soaking in your spa pool shower without soap, and instead of washing your bathing suit utilize the rinse cycle.
Clean Your Spa Filter Cartridges
We recommend following these light cleaning points every month to maintain your spa's water flowing properly, because calcification or mineral particles from hard water can clog any water filtration system.
Spray cartridges: Rotating while spraying to thoroughly remove any debris between filter pleats, spray each cartridge using a garden hose
Use filter cleaner:
Replace filters: While cleaning your filters will help keep water running easily, you need to replace your filters every three years with authentic Watkins replacement filters
Replacing Your Spa Water
While subsequent spa pool water cleaning tips will keep your water fresh longer, soaps and detergents can build over time in your spa to cause deposit. Know just how to replace your water with these measures
Drain and refill bath: Following the directions in your Owner's Manual, drain and refill the water in your spa to clear detergent and soap residue that could have collected over time
Get pre-filter: For sparkling clean water right from the start, use the CleanScreen(TMark) Pre-Filter when filling your spa
Attach pre-filter: When using the CleanScreen Pre-Filter, attach it to a standard garden hose to eliminate organic contaminants, metals like copper and iron, and tannins out of your new water.
To Winterise Your Spa pool
Your Hot Spring spa was fashioned for year-round use in most climates. Ensure maximum energy efficiency in your spa pool any period of the entire year with one of these measures.
Buy a Winter Blanket: Keep your spa pool hot year-round, even in regions with freezing temperatures, by getting a Winter Blanket from your local Hot Spring spa seller.
Install the Winter Blanket: Install the vinyl- fiberglass insulated Winter Blanket inside the equipment compartment door, adding additional precaution against partial freezing to a number of your spa's elements while maximising energy efficiency.
Check that the cover is by trying to find signs of damage.
Check the seal: Make sure the seal is still tight and intact so heat does not escape.
Should you are in need of a replacement see: Should you see signs of sagging, cracking or fading, get a replacement cover for your spa.
Remove ice and snow: Often brush snow off of your spa pool cover and splash warm water on ice instead of prying off it.
Remain maintained for holiday: Keep your spa preserved with one of these tips if you intend to leave for few days during the winter months:
Adjust pH: Correct the pH according to the Owner's Manual, before you go.
Sanitise: Sanitise the water with superb chlorination or the new Hot Spring MPS Chlorine -Free Oxidiser according to directions.
Lock cover: Lock down the cover to avoid entry.
Lock the light and jets feature on the control panel (on 1998 versions).
When you return: Upon your return, balance the pH prior to using, and sanitise the water.
In case you plan to be away from home per week or longer, phone the local retailer for more hints on winterising your spa, or assess your Owner's Manual for additional instructions.
Keep your spa pool water clean from bacteria, algae and other unwanted impurities by keeping a safe quantity of sanitiser. With too much sanitiser in your spa pool water, skin, your lungs and eyes can become irritated.

Highlife® Collection Warranty Offerings
Watkins Manufacturing Corporation (Watkins) warrants to the original consumer purchaser (you) the following about your new Highlife® Collection HotSpring® portable spa, when purchased from an authorized dealer/service provider (dealer).
7 Year Shell Surface Warranty
Watkins warrants the acrylic surface material of the Highlife® Collection HotSpring® portable spa to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for seven years. Additionally, the acrylic surface material is structurally warranted not to leak for a period of seven years. The acrylic surface material is non-permeable and will not absorb odors, bacteria or pollutants.
5 Year No Leak Plumbing Warranty
Watkins warrants the HotSpring® spa against leaks caused by defects in manufacturing and workmanship for five years. This warranty specifically covers leaks from the wall fittings, jet fittings, internal plumbing, internal glue joints,drains, hoses, and all bonded parts.
5 Year Component Warranty
Watkins warrants the electrical components, pumps, jets including the Moto-Massage™ jets, air valves, levers, bezels and other HotSpring® spa components against defects in materials and workmanship for five years. Some parts, most of which can be changed out without the use of tools, such as filter cartridges, filter lid, spa pillows and cover locks, are not included in this warranty, but are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery. Spa covers and other spa accessories are specifically excluded from this warranty, although they may be covered by other warranties. Please check with your HotSpring® dealer for details.
5 Year No-Fault™ Heater Warranty
Watkins unconditionally warrants the No-Fault heater to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five years. This warranty defines unconditional, with the exclusion of commercial or industrial use, and improper installation, as warranty coverage provided that the component has failed to operate properly within the spa's system.
5 Year Everwood™ Cabinet Warranty
Watkins warrants the Everwood cabinet material to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five years. This warranty specifically covers the cabinet's structural integrity (exclusive of surface stain), including the material and assembly.
The Everwood cosmetic finish is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of initial delivery. Fading and weathering of the surface will occur naturally over time, and are not defects. To restore the appearance of the Everwood cabinet, refer to the spa Owner's Manual for proper care and maintenance instructions.
3 Year SpaStone™ Cabinet Warranty
Watkins warrants the SpaStone cabinet material to be free from defects in material for three years. This warranty specifically covers peeling, cracking or shrinking for three years.
The SpaStone cabinet's cosmetic finish and workmanship is warranted to be free from defects at the time of initial delivery to the original consumer purchaser. Fading and weathering of the surface will occur naturally over time, and are not considered to be warrantable defects
The plywood siding on the Custom Cabinet (CC) spa is specifically excluded from this warranty, although it is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery. Please refer to the spa Owner's Manual for proper maintenance instructions.
2 Year Light Assembly Warranty
Watkins warrants the LED light assemblies, which consists of all lights within the spa, including the underwater and bartop lighting, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two years.
2 Year FreshWater® III Ozone Warranty
Watkins warrants the electrical components, ozone tubing, check valve, injector, corona discharge cell and exterior housing of the FreshWater III corona discharge ozone purification system against defects in material and workmanship for two years.
2 Year Wireless Remote Control Battery Warranty
Watkins warrants the battery in the wireless remote control panel against defects in material and workmanship for two years. For replacement of the battery refer to the spa Owner's Manual for proper care and installation directions.
